The Buran series armored vehicles are developed on a modular principle, allowing the use of a common two-axle chassis with the required characteristics. Various modules can be mounted on this chassis, which may have different features depending on customer requirements. This approach enables the optimization of module design and simplifies the production of a unified chassis.

The foundation of the vehicle is the Buran CC (Chassis Cab) chassis, a full-frame, all-wheel-drive, two-axle vehicle based on the commercial GAZ-3308 "Sadko" truck. The chassis is equipped with a YaMZ-534 diesel engine producing up to 210 hp and offers a choice between manual and automatic transmissions. Both axles feature leaf spring suspension, and the tires with protective inserts allow continued movement even when damaged.

The Buran CC chassis is fitted with a protective hood and a single-row cabin, while the body and glazing provide protection against external threats such as bullets and shrapnel. The crew is also protected from under-wheel explosions. The developer offers seven different modules for installation on the base chassis, including cargo and passenger variants, as well as combined configurations. These modules have a similar design and appearance, with characteristics maintained at a consistent level, ensuring flexibility for various operational conditions.
